Hi, I’m Lou!
Senior Web Developer & Systems Builder
I have been building for the web for nearly 20 years. My work sits somewhere at the intersection of technology and design. I specialize in web development, API integration, and product engineering — custom WordPress themes, WooCommerce development, and SaaS tools built from scratch. I care about getting it right from the start.

Where I’ve Been
Across independent work, agencies, and product builds, every role was genuinely unique and taught me something valuable.
Senior Web Developer
Ramblin Jackson Inc.
2018 – 2026
What started as a contract engagement grew into a full-time senior role driven by the quality of the work, not the tenure. For the latter five years of this role I owned every client site build end to end, from initial development through launch, along with all new feature development and additions across the agency’s growing client portfolio. Conceived, designed, and built Landscaper Pro, a reusable WordPress framework that powered an increase in annual site production and became the foundation for 65% of new website sales. Transformed website maintenance from a quarterly security check into a fully automated site management system covering 100+ client sites, then continued to own all maintenance and security going forward. I also organized years of scattered process documentation into a structured LearnDash knowledge base built from the ground up.
Web Developer and Managing Partner
Profit Insites Inc.
2016 – 2021
Designed, developed, and managed websites for small businesses and complex e-commerce stores with a consistent focus on performance, accessibility, and clean front-end architecture. Worked closely with back-end developers and the company president on feature integrations across a wide range of client projects, while managing hosting environments, DNS, and site security across the agency portfolio. Improved load times and Core Web Vitals through careful theme architecture and front-end optimization. Designed and built a full customer portal for a large western Pennsylvania irrigation systems manufacturer, a project that ran successfully in production for over nine years. As managing partner, served as account manager to approximately 50 clients, overseeing relationships, websites, and content.
Founder & Principal Developer
Lou Divers Multimedia
2007 – Present
Run an independent studio serving small businesses, regional brands, and agency partners. Managed server environments, DNS, and email infrastructure for more than 40 clients. Beyond standard client work, built several web applications on WordPress — membership platforms, community forums, product review systems, and internal tools including a private email marketing platform and DAM on Multisite. Also developed custom PHP and JavaScript applications and engineered a multi-tenant SaaS product on React and Cloudflare’s edge infrastructure. Client work spanned site builds, SEO, targeted landing page campaigns, web applications, and brand development.
Assistant Technical Director (Contract)
Chatham University
2018
Supported a Google-sponsored initiative in partnership with Chatham University to teach WordPress development and local SEO to women entrepreneurs starting new businesses. Delivered hands-on instruction covering hosting setup, DNS configuration, WordPress, SEO fundamentals, plugin usage, Google Search Console, and Google My Business across an eight-week program. The kind of work that makes the open web more accessible to people who wouldn’t otherwise have a technical foundation to build on.
Giving Back
The communities that helped shape my growth gave me the chance to contribute something back.
Local Meetups & WordCamp Pittsburgh
WordPress Community Volunteer
2016 – 2019
Participated in local WordPress meetups and volunteered at WordCamp Pittsburgh, staffing the happiness bar and supporting attendees with technical questions. Enjoyed contributing to the WordPress community and looking forward to returning through employer-supported opportunities.
Slippery Rock Business Association
Website Chair
2017 – 2024
Designed and maintained the association’s WordPress website to support local businesses and community events. Led a local SEO initiative that improved visibility for member business profiles. Digitized the monthly newsletter, saving the organization more than $1,000 per month and extending its reach into the community.
A Little More About Me
I’ve been doing this long enough to know what I am good at, I’m honest enough to know what I don’t know, and I’m still curious enough to enjoy the difference.
I started in web development before WordPress was a serious platform, working in HTML, FLASH, ASP.NET and e-commerce at a time when building for the web meant figuring most of it out yourself. That foundation of curiosity and hard work stuck. Twenty years later I still approach problems the same way: understand the system before touching it, and build things that hold up over time.
Along the way I have worked on everything from custom WordPress builds and WooCommerce stores to membership platforms, internal tools, and full SaaS products built from scratch. The problems change. The approach does not.
I work best in environments where quality is valued, documentation is treated as part of the job, and developers are brought into decisions before commitments are made. I am thorough, direct, and most productive when I can go deep on a hard problem and get it right.
